Although the equipment required for manufacturing aluminium joinery is fewer in number than that required for PVC joinery, in terms of performance it must be more sophisticated. Thus, profile cutting machines must be of very high precision, as a deviation of 1 mm is difficult to compensate for and visible in the finished product (in the case of PVC, such deviations are usually compensated for during welding).
Furthermore, all equipment must be fitted with a lubrication and cooling system in the areas in contact with the material. In addition to this, it is recommended that the movement of the cutting or trimming elements be controlled hydraulically or pneumatically to ensure a constant feed rate of the tool.
