Screw air compressors

If you need air compressors that deliver high flow rates and operate continuously, then a screw air compressor is the right solution.

The screw compressor is the most efficient equipment for supplying pneumatic systems, offering high output capacity, a constant air flow, low noise and vibration levels, and its efficiency translates into high pressures.

A screw compressor consists of two rotors (also known as screws), one driving rotor with convex teeth and one driven rotor with concave teeth.

During meshing, the two rotors interlock, forming a continuous line of engagement from the suction side to the discharge side. The space between the rotors’ teeth becomes progressively smaller from suction to discharge, thereby compressing the gas.

Oil-free screw compressors can be used for a compression ratio of 3.5–4, whilst oil-injected screw compressors can achieve a compression ratio of 10–15, up to a maximum of 20, in a single stage.
Features of screw compressors

kronung.ro offers a wide range of screw compressors, but here are the features you should look out for when choosing a screw compressor:
  • Supply voltage: you can choose a single-phase screw compressor or, if you need a higher flow rate, you can choose a three-phase screw compressor;

  •  Working pressure: Fini screw compressors offer working pressures ranging from 8 to 13 bar;

  •  Air delivery: screw air compressors are ideal for applications requiring high and constant air flow, with Fini screw compressors providing air delivery ranging from 260 l/min to 3,700 l/min.

  •  Tank capacity: the tank of a screw air compressor provides an air reserve; the larger the tank volume, the longer you can work without the compressor motor starting up;
  • Drive type: you can choose a belt-driven, gear-driven, direct-drive or coaxial screw compressor;
Accessories: for high-quality, condensate-free compressed air, choose a screw air compressor fitted with a compressed air dryer.

Advantages of screw compressors
  •  Screw compressors are designed for the continuous production of compressed air.

  •  Screw compressors are the most cost-effective solution for the continuous production of large volumes of compressed air.

  •  They provide a constant air flow, without pulsations.

  •  Screw compressors operate at maximum efficiency at compression pressures of 8–13 bar.

  •  They operate virtually vibration-free and are very quiet.

  •  They can be equipped with modern drive and control technologies.
The FINI range of screw compressors starts with 2.2 kW models and goes up to 90 kW, delivering a pressure of 8–13 bar and flow rates ranging from 260 to 3,700 litres of compressed air per minute. Depending on the drive system of the pressure pump, FINI uses two design variants:
  • belt drive, oil injection, with power ratings ranging from 2.2 to 75 kW (MICRO and PLUS models);

  • with gear drive, oil injection, with power ratings ranging from 4 to 37 kW (the CUBE SD range up to 7.5 kW and the K-MAX range up to 37 kW).

    Order the screw air compressor model you need with confidence, and the KRONUNG team will deliver it directly to your workshop.
