Depending on the design and the power of the motors, moulding machines can cut two mouldings at once, provided, of course, that the feed tables are designed with this in mind; this results in increased productivity for this operation.
Moulding machines for PVC joinery are usually complex machines equipped with two motors, each with a blade, which cut the moulding at both ends at a 45° angle. In addition to the two main blades for cutting, most manufacturers add two smaller blades (usually 100–120 mm in diameter) which mill the underside of the glazing bead.
